Coverage on 200+ Networks
Coverage wherever a cellular network reaches.
Coverage maps are published one carrier at a time, and no single map is complete. A Sturdy SIM combines them. With more than 200 networks available, a device is covered wherever any one of those networks has a usable signal.
Coverage is local
Carriers describe their coverage as a percentage of the population, but a device is installed at one address. What matters is which networks reach that address, at that height, inside that enclosure. In cities several networks usually overlap. In rural areas, along highways, and inside buildings, it is common for one network to be strong where another is absent.
Combining the maps
Because a Sturdy SIM is permitted on more than 200 networks, its coverage is the combination of all of them. If any one of those networks has a usable signal at the device, the device can connect. This is the simplest way to improve coverage without changing the antenna or the hardware.
Nationwide in the United States
In the United States, a Sturdy SIM gives a device access to coverage from the major national networks and from regional carriers, rather than from one of them alone. A rollout across many states can use the same SIM at every site, including the sites where your usual carrier is weak.
Around the world
The same card roams on carrier networks abroad. Equipment that is shipped overseas, or that travels across borders, does not need a different SIM for each country. Availability varies by country, and some countries limit how long a device may roam, so please tell us where your devices will operate and we will confirm coverage for those places.
Check before you deploy
Coverage also depends on the device. A modem can only use the networks whose frequency bands and technologies it supports. Before a large deployment, we recommend testing a SIM in your hardware at representative sites, and we are glad to help you plan that.

The same card connects on carrier networks abroad.
Rural reach
A better chance of a signal where one carrier alone falls short.
One SIM per rollout
The same card at every site, in every state.

Questions
Common questions
Which networks does a Sturdy SIM use?
A Sturdy SIM is permitted on more than 200 cellular networks, in the United States and abroad. Tell us where your devices will operate and we will confirm the coverage available in those locations.
Does a multi-network SIM improve coverage in rural areas?
It often does, because rural areas are frequently served well by one carrier and poorly by the others. A SIM that can use several networks will connect to whichever one reaches the site. It cannot create coverage where no network has a signal.
